DA Stamp - Slash 01

I may reword this stamp, if I can find a better way to say it. I struggled with how to word it.

Anyway.

I can see why people think slash simply means pairings or "fake pairings" ( aka not canon ), but that's not what it means.

Slash basically means same-sex pairings. It is usually used for male/male pairings, while femslash is often used for female/female. Male/female pairings are usually known as het, which is short for heterosexual.

Some authors use the term for their original stories that have same-sex pairings ( "original slash" ), while others only use the term for fan fiction with same-sex pairings.

I'm tired of looking around DA, particularly at anti-yaoi or anti-slash groups, and seeing comments like "I'm not homophobic. I don't like het slash either!" ( You don't like het gay? ) or a beautiful one I just saw a moment ago that inspired this stamp "I like yaoi, but not yaoi slash." ( You like gay, but not gay gay, gotcha! ).

As I said, I can see why people think it, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

So yeah. Sorry, I just needed to get that out there. This is probably one of the fastest stamps I've ever made.

Also, I am aware that there are other uses for this word, but I'm referring to the fandom term.
